All her images are staged, but she always makes space for improvisation. That is important for her working method. Her works are personal memories through life and at the same time universal images. At the moment she investigates her roots, not only cultural, but also physical roots and roots we share. Subjects of interest are identity & migration.}

Erica Baltimore geb (1979) Maisons-Alfort, Frankrijk is een Nederlands beeldend kunstenares en woont en werkt in Rotterdam. Ze heeft Indonesische, Surinaamse en Guadeloupse roots. Ze groeide op in Nederland en heeft een Bachelor of Fine Art afgerond aan ArtEZ Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, Arnhem (NL).

Haar werken zijn geënsceneerde persoonlijke verhalen en herinneringen gemaakt met het medium video en/of fotografie. Migratie en identiteit zijn onderwerp van belangstelling. Haar eerste korte film Her Innerview zonder dialoog ging in première op het prestigieuze Nederlands Film Festival in Utrecht in 2014.
